Task Scams: A New Wave of Online Fraud

Our 4th briefing on the scamming compounds –also known as fraud factories– brings attention to ‘task scams’, an emerging form of fraud largely targeting UK and EU citizens that we have linked to the scamming compounds.
Our findings highlight that the scale of the scamming compounds is even greater than anticipated. We invite governments, law enforcement bodies, and NGOs to read this briefing, in order to implement a coordinated and effective response to this crime which impacts victims world-wide.
